Organism

Organism is a new quartet that explores the great sound, repertoire, and tradition of hard bop and organ jazz. The band channels members’ diverse backgrounds into a shared passion for the music. Organism members include trumpet player and bandleader Pat Harbison, Professor of Jazz Studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music; Meghan Pund, clarinetist and saxophonist; Steve Snyder, Director of Jazz Studies at DePauw University; and Sean Dobbins, Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

New Brazukas

Diego Lyra's group, made of 4 Brazilians and one American-Brazilian, plays many styles of Brazilian music. While most musicians and listeners are familiar with the Bossa Nova and Samba styles, they less frequently encounter the Forró, Xote, Choro or Brazilian pop music. This group plays those styles and more and features Meghan on saxophones and clarinet, Diego Lyra on keys, Giovanni Sena on bass, and Kiko Sebrian and Pedrinho Augusto on drums and percussion.
